They can be used when the cylinder becomes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excessively worn and tapered down<\/li>\n<li>Scored<\/li>\n<li>Cracked<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is resleeving?<\/h2>\n<p>Resleeving is commonly employed for high-performance or racing vehicles which are routinely put under an immense amount of pressure. However, everyday vehicles are also affected by the issues mentioned above, and have to be monitored closely to pick up any signs that a cylinder might not be working properly as quickly as possible. They can then be resleeved in the same way.<\/p>\n<p>If necessary, all of the cylinders in the engine can be resleeved in order to restore them to the specifications they would have had when they were newly machined.
